Specialist employment law firm, Aitken Legal has been named as a finalist in the Australian Law Awards for Workplace Relations and Employment Team of the Year.

In addition, Special Counsel, Angela Engel has been named as a finalist in the Special Counsel of the Year award.

The Australian Law Awards has built a reputation for recognising top legal professionals and firms across the country. These prestigious awards shine a light on the outstanding achievements, expertise and dedication these professionals bring to the industry, and their ongoing efforts in propelling the industry forward.

The finalist list, which was announced on 28 June 2022, features over 370 high-achieving legal professionals and businesses across 41 submission-based categories.

Winners will be announced at a black-tie gala night fit for the stars in August of this year.

Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said that this year’s Australian Law Awards will be bigger and better than ever.

“This is the biggest annual awards night for Australia’s legal profession. To be able to bring the 22nd instalment of this event to the legal community is a huge honour for us,” he said.

“We can’t wait to see everyone there and celebrate the amazing work being done by legal professionals of all stripes.”

Lisa Aitken, Managing Director at Aitken Legal said

“We are proud and honoured to be named as a finalist in the Australian Law Awards 2022.  It is testament to the high level of employment law advice and outstanding service our team provides to our clients.  We are up against some big national firms and this recognition demonstrates that we punch well above our weight.

I am also delighted that Angela Engel is a finalist in the Special Counsel of the Year category.  This is a great achievement and gives her the recognition she deserves for the exceptional advice she provides to our clients.”
