Extensive variation to 9 Modern Awards – Operative from 29 May 2020
The Fair Work Commission has extensively varied the following Tranche 2 awards as a result of the Commission’s 4-yearly review of modern awards. The variations conclude technical and drafting matters to the following awards:
- Clerks – Private Sector Award
- Contract Call Centres Award
- Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award
- Hospitality Industry (General) Award
- Local Government Industry Award
- Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award*
- Rail Industry Award
- Restaurant Industry Award
- Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award*
*Importantly, vehicle manufacturing employers and employees will now be covered by the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award.
Any outstanding substantive or common issues claims to Tranche 2 Awards not yet determined will be finalised by subsequent variation determinations.
