When Lisa Aitken opened her practice on the Sunshine Coast in 2006 it was a refreshing experience to have professional employment law representation without having to travel to Brisbane. Her reputation for assisting employer’s needs in their struggle with ever-changing regulations and legislation was quickly recognised and her company grew as a result of the specialised service.

With the introduction of an additional partner to sustain the growing demand for advice and representation the company moved to Birtinya. They have continued to grow in many ways and have also managed an amazing array of charity events and community networking meetings.

In recognition of her outstanding commitment and dedication to the support of Sunshine Coast employers Lisa was named Corporate Business Woman of the Year at the 2010 Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year awards.

Building Solutions Pty Ltd first engaged Aitken Legal to represent the company in a legal matter that required a delicate but firm approach.

Since then we have appointed the practice as our preferred industrial relations advocate. Human resource matters require a unique approach to successfully manage potential adversity and Aitken Legal have continued to favourably resolved these matters for our company.

The Team and culture at Aitken Legal are a credit to the partners. They are always proficient and courteous providing their clients with a comfortable and relaxed environment.

While Aitken Legal have represented us with litigious matters the majority of business has revolved around discussion on industrial relations interpretation, wage issues and rates, changes to The Fair Work Act and general consultation on disciplinary, behavioural issues, etc. The practice also assisted in the formation of our work Contracts and Letters of Offer.

Building Solutions has benefited greatly in a wide range of areas since engaging Aitken Legal as its Industrial Relations and Employment Law advisers.
