Mark Bunch, Partner

Mark was admitted to practice law in December 2001 and worked for Minter Ellison Lawyers on the Gold Coast for 10 years leading their Human Resources and Industrial Relations practice group.

Mark joined Aitken Legal as a Partner in February 2011 to lead the firm’s Gold Coast office.

Mark has established himself as the pre-eminent employment lawyer on the Gold Coast and has acted for and advised some of the Gold Coast's largest employers.

Mark is experienced in all aspects of employment law, including preparing all levels of employment contracts; preparing enterprise agreements; drafting workplace policies and handbooks; advising on and appearing in relation to unfair dismissal; unlawful termination and adverse action claims; advising on Modern Awards and entitlements under Federal and State legislation and industrial instruments; advising on and appearing in relation to discrimination complaints in both State and Federal jurisdictions; workplace health and safety advice and prosecutions; stress claims and workers compensation; providing advice regarding independent contractor/ employee clarification and preparing independent contractor agreements.

Mark frequently appears on behalf of clients in relevant Courts and Tribunals including, Fair Work Australia, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, the Federal Court and Federal Magistrates Court, the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
